Can Christians Wear the Tzitzitot?

Image
Have you ever felt drawn to wear the Tzitzitot? I started understanding their importance when I began incorporating the Tallit into my prayer life. In this video, I explain some of my thoughts on the subject!   Numbers 15:37-41 : (Maftir) 37 Adonai said to Moshe, 38 “Speak to the people of Isra’el, instructing them to make, through all their generations, tzitziyot on the corners of their garments, and to put with the tzitzit on each corner a blue thread. 39 It is to be a tzitzit for you to look at and thereby remember all of Adonai’s mitzvot and obey them, so that you won’t go around wherever your own heart and eyes lead you to prostitute yourselves; 40 but it will help you remember and obey all my mitzvot and be holy for your God. 41 I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt in order to be your God. I am Adonai your God.” Haftarah Shlach L’kha: Y’hoshua (Joshua) 2:1–24 B’rit Hadashah suggested reading for Parashah Shlach L’kha: Messianic Jews (Hebrews) 3:7–19

Does Your Church Support Israel?

Image
Can you say with confidence that your church supports Israel? This is a question that should be answered with a resounding YES , but this isn't truly the case in our modern-day Christianity. First, we need to define who we mean when we are talking about Israel. Are we talking about the Israeli government? The entirety of the population in the Middle Eastern nation? The decision makers of the IDF? The answer to that is no. The Israel our church should fervently and religiously love and support is the precious Jewish people. Israel is not just the Jewish people overseas, but it's the Jewish people next door. It's all the diaspora that was unfortunately scattered worldwide -- they remain the Father's chosen people. Some Christians get mad when we talk about loving and blessing the Jewish people, they don't understand the family to which we have been grafted in to. Ephesians 3:6:   That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promi

Beware of Replacement Theology

Image
Replacement theology (supersessionism) is a very common teaching in Christian churches today. Maybe your church even teaches this idea without you even knowing! It suggests that the Christian Church has replaced Israel as the new chosen people of God, rendering the promises made to Israel null and void. According to the theology, the Jewish people are no longer God's chosen people, and He has no future plans for Israel. Instead, the Church has actually become Spiritual Israel and receives their promises instead! It's frustrating to argue against replacement theology because to me, Romans 11 makes it theologically impossible .  Let's look at Romans 11 to understand why replacement theology falls short and why continuity between Israel and the Church is vital. The Olive Tree Analogy Romans 11 opens with the powerful imagery of an olive tree. The author, Paul, compares Israel to the original branches of the tree, which have been broken off due to unbelief, while wild olive s

Shalom! In this video, I plea to my generation to remember Israel... Support for the Jewish people is disappearing, even from Christian churches.  Here is a powerful Scripture that speaks to those who would oppose God's chosen people (Zecharia 12): “I will make Yerushalayim a cup that will stagger the surrounding peoples. Even Y’hudah will be caught up in the siege against Yerushalayim. When that day comes, I will make Yerushalayim a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who try to lift it will hurt themselves, and all the earth’s nations will be massed against her. When that day comes,” says  Adonai , “I will strike all the horses with panic and their riders with madness; I will keep watch over Y’hudah, but I will strike blind all the horses of the peoples. The leaders of Y’hudah will say to themselves, ‘Those living in Yerushalayim are my strength through  Adonai-Tzva’ot  their God.’ When that day comes, I will make the leaders of Y’hudah like a blazing fire pan in a pile of woo

Video: Our Christian Duty to Minister to the Jewish People

Shalom! This is a plea to my fellow Christians. We need to remember the precious Jewish people… Ephesians 3:6 (NMV):   That the Goyim [Gentiles] should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Moshiach [Messiah] by the Gospel (joyful message) When we gift a scripture to a Jew, we honor the legacy of our spiritual ancestors who paved the way for our spiritual growth. It is an acknowledgment of the debt of gratitude we owe to the Jewish people for preserving the teachings of the Old Testament and passing them down through generations.
